What Medical Grade ACTIVE ACNE TREATMENTS does Slate Medspa offer?
VI Peel Custom Facial
The VI Peel Custom Facial is a chemical peel that can be personalized for every skin types and all skin colors. We customize this peel for your specific concers, including active acne. VI Peel can make a difference in as little as 7 days. This custom facial combines several of the most effective medical peel agents available and range from mild superficial peels for first timers to our popular more aggressive medium and deep peels. The active ingredients in the VI Peel are a combination of salicylic, phenol and citric acids plus TCA (trichloroacetic acid), which is a peeling agent for effective skin penetration and deep scar healing through collagen stimulation. A custom blend of other ingredients are also added to address your specific skin concerns, including
- Clearing acne & reducing acne scars
- Softening fine lines & wrinkles
- Reversing sun damage and signs of aging
- Treating hyperpigmentation and melasma
- Improving your skin tone and texture
- Stimulating collagen growth and elastin production.
These custom facial will denature the keratin on the top layers of skin, causing the skin to generate new cells and discard the old ones. VI Peel will have you shedding those top layers off much like a snake sheds its old skin. New, smoother cells come to the surface as old cells peel away, leaving skin looking younger and smoother. Depending on the skin problem, a series of three to six peels is often given at one month intervals for best results. A consultation is required prior to the custom VI Peel. The award-winning HydraFacial merges invigorating spa therapies with advanced medical technology. This unique combination of advanced hydrating techniques produces instant, noticeable results with no downtime or irritation. Only HydraFacial uses patented Vortex-Fusion technology, which combines hydro exfoliation to unclog congested pores, while simultaneously delivering a topical infusion of custom solutions specific to your skin condition. This treatment works differently from traditional microdermabrasion due to the use of this hydradermabrasion technology and a pulsating micro infusion tip, ensuring a soothing, yet powerful and non-irritating treatment. Using state of the art technology and Human Growth Factor Serum, our Microneedling Facial treats concerns like fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, stretch marks, hair loss and thinning, active acne, and rosacea. By using tiny needles to create micro-channels (tiny holes) in the skin’s outer layers, we are able to induce collagen production and regenerate the skin, making it stronger and healthier with each session. Fractional RF Microneedling
Fractional RF microneedling is a breakthrough treatment in aesthetics which combines two methods previously used individually for skin rejuvenation, Microneedling and RF Energy. RF Microneedling is effective for fine lines and wrinkles, skin tightening, active acne, acne scars, and skin tone, texture and pore size, both on and off the face. Slate Medspa can use multiple needle handpieces or an exclusive single needle handpiece to target each acne pimple separately, sending RF energy to destroy acne bacteria and reduce sebum (oil) production. Whether it’s your first clinical facial ever or your first one for this month, adding on one of these treatment enhancers can boost results as well as make the experience even more customized. It’s always suggested to have a free consultation with our medical aestheticians to customize a facial rejuvenation plan with your specific needs in mind.
Celluma LED Therapy
High intensity BLUE light emitting diodes (LEDs) shrinks sebaceous (oil) production, kills acne bacteria deep within your pores, decreases inflammation, and improves skin tone, texture and clarity. This is an excellent add-on to any of our advanced active acne treatments.
Oxygen is one of the most essential elements for human life, so it’s only natural that our skin would crave it! This specialized beauty treatment is designed to replenish the levels of oxygen in your skin, smoothing out wrinkles and restoring a youthful appearance to your face. The airbrush blasts 99% pure hyperbaric oxygen, at high pressure into the epidermis (the uppermost layer of the skin).
Dermaplaning is a long trusted method of shedding top layers of dead skin. Using a surgical scalpel, we gently scrape off dead skin cells on the surface of your skin as well as the peach fuzz on your face. This preps the skin for better product penetration and more efficient facial results.
Some clients require extra time spent on extractions. A preliminary consult with our skin therapists will provide the appropriate recommendation for your specific skin needs.
