How does Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing work?
Considered the ‘next-generation’ in fractional skin resurfacing, LaseMD Ultra™ uses unique Fiber Thulium Lasers to create micro injuries deep in the skin in the form of a matrix. Healthy cells around the newly created matrix promote rapid healing while stimulating collagen production, replacing old, damaged skin with new, rejuvenated skin. Does Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing Hurt?
Our unique lasers have a minimal beam diameter (100 µm) which causes less pain and less downtime. During treatment, many feel a warm, prickly sensation as laser energy penetrates the skin. Topical anesthetic ointments may be used to reduce unpleasant feelings during treatment.
Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing Aftercare
Since there is only mild dermal disruption during treatment, in most instances, downtime is minimal. After treatment, a mild pink or red ‘sunburn’ appearance is common.
