What to expect from your Ultra Laser Facial
After you skin is analyzed, our trained clinicians will then gently glide a specially designed handpiece over the treatment area. Patients describe the treatment as a warm tingling sensation. Treatments can be used on different areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. These often include the face, neck, décolleté, hands and arms. Depending on the area treated and your specific skin type and condition, each Ultra Laser Facial only takes between 15 and 30 minutes.
Ultra Laser Facial Aftercare
Immediately following a Laser Facial treatment, you will be free to resume your daily activities. A brief period of redness is the most common side effect of the treatment. This can easily be covered up with foundation or concealer until the redness subsides, usually within a day or two. Your skin will have a dry, sandpaper-like texture in the following 5-6 days. The treated spots may begin to darken and this typically subsides within a day or two. Over the course of the next one to three weeks, the darkened spots will fade away, revealing fresher, clearer skin. Results are cumulative and desired improvement of skin tone is typically achieved in 3 to 6 treatment sessions, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Many patients maintain a skin maintenance schedule of one laser photofacial treatment every month.
